Whanaungatanga
Strong, authentic relationships help children and whānau feel known, connected, and supported throughout their journey with us.
About Us
At Paramount Grove, we are a community shaped by care, connection, and a shared commitment to honouring each child’s identity, culture, and unique learning journey. We want children and whānau to feel safe, connected, and truly at home.
Relationships are the foundation for everything we do. Through whanaungatanga, we build meaningful connections with tamariki, whānau, and one another so children can feel secure, confident, and ready to explore the world around them.
What Guides Us
Strong, authentic relationships help children and whānau feel known, connected, and supported throughout their journey with us.
Our kaiako create environments where tamariki feel respected, cared for, and encouraged to grow in confidence and capability.
Children learn to care for people and place, building respect for whenua, community, and the natural world through everyday experiences.
Te reo Māori and tikanga are woven authentically into daily life so culture, identity, and belonging are visible and valued.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is inspired by Te Whāriki and the Reggio Emilia philosophy. We see learning as something that grows through relationships, exploration, and meaningful experiences, not as a fixed programme that children simply move through.
Children’s ideas, interests, and curiosities lead the way. Through ako, our kaiako work alongside tamariki as guides, listeners, and co-learners, supporting rich investigations and knowledge-building that feels personal, purposeful, and connected.
We also value the environment as a teacher. Our spaces are intentionally designed to invite creativity, inquiry, and collaboration, with open-ended materials that evolve alongside the children who use them.
